empowering children and families fighting cancer

CAMP HANA HOU

An ocean of love and hope

Riding waves in the mighty ocean is one of the most self-empowering things a human being can do. When Chris Keet began donating his time teaching surfing to organizations like the Teddy Bear Foundation and Hugs For Cubs, he saw firsthand the impact it made upon the brave and inspirational children fighting cancer. Now, we provide our annual Camp Hana Hou.  Hana Hou means "One More Time" in Hawaiian - but in this case it may as well mean "one more wave," because it seems that these courageous campers are always stoked to ride one more!

Camp is located at safe and sandy Santa Claus Lane, in Carpinteria, and thanks to the generosity of the Brittingham Family Foundation, Camp Hana Hou is completely free of charge.

If you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact Jenny Keet at jenny@surfhappensfoundation.org or call 805-966-3613.
