“Surf Happens surf camps have been such an amazing experience for Jack, Brian, and Reid. Kids are the biggest critics and after last summer they couldn’t wait to come back to Santa Barbara for more. They have gone to other surf camps in Hawaii and San Diego, but all they keep talking about is Surf Happens and Santa Claus Lane. I think they’re all hooked on surfing for life now!
We’re indebted to Chris and all the counselors who truly love kids and know how to instruct and have fun. This camp has built their confidence in the water and they love riding waves. The whole experience raises self esteem and the boys also love the contests and talent shows. As a parent, I am thrilled!”
Surf Camps
Ages 4-17
Surfing for EVERYBODY! We are proud to offer full scholarships to attend world-class, year-round surf camps and clinics at Surf Happens Premier Surf School. Scholarships provide area youth from low-income families an opportunity to experience the empowering and healing effects of the ocean while learning how to surf in a safe, fun, nurturing, and rewarding environment.
Our goal is to foster a life-long relationship between our scholarship recipients and the ocean, and to provide them with the tools and desire to share their experience with others!
*Scholarships are not only for Surf Happens Camps. We arrange tuition opportunities for other locations too!
After School Surfing Program
Ages 6-17
Year-round after school programs at Surf Happens Premier Surf School are known for expert focus on teaching the sport of surfing. Goal-setting, cross-training, advanced techniques, and supportive mentors inspire life-long respect for the ocean and passion for the sport of surfing.
We are proud to offer full scholarships to after school programs. In addition to advanced surfing skills, students will learn the basics of oceanography and how to locate, identify, and surf the best spots during any given swell.
The goal of this program is to teach the importance of hard work, respect, discipline, and passion, and how applying these philosophies in a positive manner leads to success in all facets of life.
