Monday May 8th, 2017 Santa Barbara, CA, Surf Happens Foundation, a non profit dedicated to providing access to enriching surf programs and environmental education to local children, will host their Second Annual Rincon Luau fundraiser at Pete & Jillian Muller’s beachfront home on Rincon Point, Saturday May 20th, 2017, 4-8 pm. The tropical luau event, acting as the organization's most profitable fundraiser, features exquisite fully garnished cocktails, tasty Hawaiian cuisine, authentic Polynesian entertainment including hula dancers, drummers and fire dancer, live music and dancing, with program lead by Master of Ceremonies, legendary pro-surfer, Shaun Tomson.
The event will include a live and silent auction with over $30,000 in one-of-kind items including luxury trips, surfboards and VIP experiences. Working alongside the event committee, the event is designed and coordinated by Wild Heart Events, and catered by DUO Catering and Simple Cocktails. Other local businesses and individuals supporting the event include Bella Vista Designs, Bill Urbany & Alisa Peppers Real Estate, HG Data, Channel Islands Surfboards, Dick & Noelle Wolf, Brent Dill, Cathline Remy, Alki Wellness, Playback Recording Studio, Tiki Toss, and Blue Star Parking.
The Surf Happens Foundation provides empowering surfing and environmental education programs offered to local youth in the Santa Barbara region including low-income, at-risk and children with cancer. These enriching programs positively impact the lives of over 500 local youths partnering with organizations like Transition House, The Village, Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, United Way of Santa Barbara, and Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara and Carpinteria.
